Trust the track.

Just a suggestion. It looks like you are out too fast on your first interval. You should try and set your pace for something that you can sustain for all of your intervals. If you are slower later on you are most likely to fast. Going to fast early burns out the legs and leads to ragged form later on which in turn makes you more likely to get injured.

I do or have done the same thing. It took me a long time to learn not to go out too fast. Anyway just my 2 cents...

great job tho as track always hurts.chris mcpeakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15488479732649522465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37373654.post-14840124557287040812009-06-11T08:45:42.887-04:002009-06-11T08:45:42.887-04:00i would doubt that whoever put the track down didn...i would doubt that whoever put the track down didn't measure it properly, but that's just me.

nice job on the track work! i don't think your goal is too tough - you just have to continue the workouts and you'll continue to see progress and get more "used" to the pace. 9 seconds may not seem like a lot over a shorter distance but it adds up.Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17720800873803974929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37373654.post-23250719708470894512009-06-11T08:00:53.518-04:002009-06-11T08:00:53.518-04:00I don't think your goal time is too aggressive...I don't think your goal time is too aggressive and I do think that garmin is playing tricks on you. On a standard track you would need to back up about 10 feet from the starting line to reach 1 mile because from start to finish it is not exact. I would prolly need to show you a picture of the two lines on a track to be more clear but anyway....I think running in lane 1 should be ok. Gramin can be silly sometimes i think.
