Three Things Thursday

1. I had a crummy day yesterday - PMS, sh*tty day at work, family issues. By the end of the day the last thing I wanted to do was run. The first thing I wanted to do was curl up on the couch and eat an entire box of mac & cheese (KD for the Canadians). Fortunately, I had a hubby and group of friends expecting me to run with them at 6:30 (yes, hubby has started running with my group occasionally while he recovers from injury before starting his own training again). And so I ran. I cut it slightly short when the cold, cold rain started coming down, but still put in some miles and felt good about it at the end of the day.

2. December is shaping up to be one busy month. We leave for Cuba in 17 days (who's counting?) and before then I have to finish (start) Christmas cards, Christmas shopping, some baking, shopping/packing for our trip and we have 5 parties and 2 family dinners to attend during that time. Not to mention training for Goofy and working my butt off for the Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge/Project Lean Mean Running Machine. Yes, I am going to NEED a vacation.

3. Last but not least, thank you to the lovely Amanda of RunToTheFinish (our HBBC Hostess Extraordinaire) for this award.

You can learn more about the Atta Girl Award here. Thanks again Amanda!

Well way to get out there and run anyway. Sometimes you just feel better after you do it - even if you really really don't want to at first. And just think you are one day closer to your awesome vacation!!!! So jealous!

5 parties? Oh my. You are busy!

I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning for my run and was glad I did. I felt so good and ready to start the day well before 6am!

Cuba certainly sounds like a nice reward for surviving a crazy month!

Keep up the good work with all the running and extra stuff.

Nice job getting those workouts in! Keep it up with that busy schedule. And once you get back from Cuba, if you want to come train me in how to be a lean, mean running machine, you are totally invited. :)

Great job on the run. It was not a fun night to run. I am seriously procrastinating on the 100 + cards I have to write out. This year the husband is not getting out of it.

5 pts (i.e. Miles!) is still something impressive - especially when mac & cheese + couch was one of the options ;)

omg Christmas shopping....haven't even gotten to that thought-process yet.....

way to get out and run marlene :) the couch is all too tempting some days. good thing you got those 5 pts 'cause i'm sure you would've gone negative had you sat and ate mac n cheese instead ;)
