Allow me to introduce my good friend Juliana of Running for Rett Syndrome.
I have the pleasure of running with Juliana often and I'm excited that she's decided to take the plunge and start blogging about some of her adventures.
Juliana's daughter has Rett Syndrome, hence the blog title. She has inspired many with her commitment to this sport while simultaneously juggling more than most of us could imagine. Juliana is also the driving force behind Run4Rett and we're already gearing up for this year's event in October.
If you have a chance, drop by to say hello and welcome her to our little community.
Last night's group tempo run went really well. We start small with a 3K warm-up, 3K tempo, 3K cool-down. My average pace over the 3K tempo was 5:18/KM (8:32/mi), which is where I should be for a tempo. The final 3K were a little faster than planned, but I had some pep in my legs so I decided to just "run" with it: average 5:36/KM (9:01/mi).
Have a great weekend!
