Three Things Thursday

1. Thank you so much for all of your kind words for baby Chloe. Yesterday was by far one of the saddest and most difficult days I have ever experienced and I can't begin to imagine what the family is going through. Like many of you said, it certainly puts life into perspective. Thank you again for your good thoughts and prayers.

A friend of ours will be donating 10% of all sales through Lil Divas Boutique this month to to the Oshawa Hospital Foundation in memory of baby Chloe. She does beautiful work; check it out if there's a lil diva in your life.

2. I didn't say much about the run yesterday; it was another humid morning, but it was so foggy and misty that it felt like running in a cloud. I bumped into a friend who was out for a run with her dog and had some company for a little while, which was nice. I also ventured over to a local private school to investigate the ("PRIVATE! NO TRESPASSING!") track. I may take a chance and head over for some intervals early one morning next week... Shhhhhhh!

This morning I was up for another early morning run - 10K with 10x100 strides (100m sprint at sub-5K pace for the last 100m of each kilometre). My legs are feeling the mileage this week so I think a nice, slow recovery run is in order for tomorrow.

3. This Saturday I will be competing in my 2nd City Chase this year and 4th in 3 years. This time I'll be competing with my sister along with Juliana and her hubby. It should be a fun day!

We're having identical weather and it sucks. Oh wait, I can't complain about the weather anymore.

Are you running the half in Oakville or the 10K? I'm doing the 10K; hubby is running the half.

Another city chase! So fun. I really can't wait for that recap.

As for the private track... The way I see it you can go until someone says something! :) You can always turn on the charm and say "oh sorry I didn't realize!" Plus I doubt they'd do anything unless you were vandalizing the place. Good luck, my criminal friend ;)

Marlene,

I'm just now catching up on some blogs and I've read your last few posts -- I am so, so, so very sorry. I cannot imagine what your poor dear friend is going through and I know this must be so hard for you. I really don't have any words other than I'm sending you and your friend all my best wishes.

Take care --

Felice

Oh man, I was so sorry to hear about your friend's baby when you told me on FB :(. A big hug to you, girl. That's sooo very hard!

Good luck on your race this weekend, hope you're able to push aside the pain and for the baby!!!

Marcia is here with me and she is running a race in CO, too :). I am not, cuz of my stupid heel (I have not run since SF, as I promised myself). We'll be thinking of you!
