We had fun at the expo today and saw many familar faces (including Marci and her hubs - thanks for saying hi!) while handing out race packets and shirts. Tomorrow we'll be at the finish line in chip removal. The forecase is calling for
In running news, I did achieve my double-digit goal and ran 10K on Thursday afternoon. My quads were pretty sore by the end of it, but it felt pretty good overall. I haven't had a chance to run yet this weekend, but hope to squeeze in a short one tomorrow.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend and good luck to the Chilly runners tomorrow!

Great job on the 10K! Great job helping with the expo and the race. I am sure you are disappointed not running it but volunteering is the next best thing. Have fun tomorrow and stay warm!
Nice of you to help at the expo and the race. And great that you did the 10K run. woot!
It was good seeing you Marlene. Thanks for volunteering and I hope you don't freeze tomorrow. Here I was feeling sorry for myself not thinking that at least I will be moving to stay warmer! See you at the finish!
It's so great that you can volunteer at the race since you can't run.
I'm sure you'll get all kinds of good running karma from it :) stay warm!
Hi Marlene, I have been following some of your race reports in the past. Today when I picked up my race kit for Chilly half, I thought the volunteer's face looks quite familiar, I think it was you! or maybe your sister?! anyways, the person I saw matches your Scotia Marathon pictures in my memory. I thought I should stop by and say hi :-)
That's great of you to help out!
Stay warm tomorrow, girl!
so great of you to volunteer... esp. in winter! Gah! When I backed out of the duathlon and volunteered, thankfully it was summer, and a LOT warmer.. .even if on my bday. Oh well. Hope you stay warm out there! :D
I just volunteered for a race and had a lot of fun. Sorry you missed the race but at least you were part of some of the excitement.

Giving back is great and if it helps kids graduate, even better. The name of the event makes me think of brisk weather.
So nice of you to volunteer...and take your sis along. Good run!
Hope you enjoyed your volunteering over the weekend. My hub and a lot of our running group was there today at the finish line removing chips and giving out medals and had a great time.
-hope you didn't freeze too much either!
That's big of you to help out when you didnt run, awsome job. and totally cool seeing other bloggers there, hah!
Wow I miss 2 weeks of your recovery and you're back running 10Ks?! Guess that means the shoulder feels a lot better!!!
Great idea to volunteer, isn't bad that we have to be injured to want to help out? LOL
That's great that you volunteered, and way to go on your long run!
