Linz at Beyond Destination 26.2
Thanks again for all of your questions - I'll start bombarding you with answers next week. :)
For now, I'll start with Linz's question: "What's your typical pre-race breakfast?"
Before every long run & race, I eat a toasted PJ&J bagel. On the day of a marathon, I'll usually eat a Clif bar as well - about an hour before the start.
What do YOU eat before a race?
Have a great weekend!

Congrats to Linz! I usually have some coffee and toast with honey. If it is a 20miler or more or some hard race I'll have a Gu gel 15mins before the start as well. Enjoy your weekend!
I usually get up an hour before I want to run and have a cup of coffee (I don't think I would safely make it out the door w/out it!). Probably 30 min before I run, I eat an English muffin with PB and maybe a bowl of cereal.
Have a great weekend! Hope the heat breaks for you guys.
I was eating a bagel and PB with a cup of coffee before long runs and races, but after tummy issues at my marathon in May I started experimenting with other things. Oatmeal and a banana got me through 30K last weekend!
I generally only have a glass of water and a banana. But when I was doing the really long runs I added a piece of bread and honey.
I like to eat a banana with almond butter before a race!
Coffee and 2 granola bars. Can't start a day, much less a day with a race, without coffee!
wheat bagel w/pb or oats w/pb and a LARGE cup of coffee
PB on a president choice raisin thin and sometimes some banana.
always....
I've spent waaay too many runs screaming and waving my hands "like a girl" at bugs...
