I neglected to mention in my race report that I had the awesome pleasure of 'running into' a couple of local bloggers on the course. Both happy go lucky alex and Kenny from A whole lot of soles... wrote excellent race reports so check those out here and here. Great seeing you guys out there!

Thanks so much for the shout out, Marlene!
Still on the fence, but I am planning to figure out my plan for the next race.... I am also doing the 5k this weekend- see you there, girl!
hope your legs are feeling better today! these next two weeks are gonna be tough, but we should catch up for lunch one of these days! Yay joyRun!
Congrats to Joy - more local blogger, I must visit to say hello!
glad to hear you are feeling better post race!
Congrats to the winner! Great job on the race too! :D
Woot! Can't wait to get my running track :D
It's awesome meeting up with other bloggers!
Sometime race lessons are the best thing you can get out of one. Go get 'em next time!
Glad you are feeling better. Totally know that post race disappointment feeling - I think we have all had that! No worries though! You are a strong runner!
Holy dehydration. That's a long time without peeing! Lesson learned, right? :)
Hi its Kristina from Nikes and Ponytails, I cant find a contact email for you on your page. So I am stoked you want to participate on the pantry project.. Just send me an email with before and after pictures and any blurb you want to add.. Send to nikesandponytails@hotmail.com
Thanks!!
glad you figured out what went wrong. i'm sure you won't make that mistake again!
We all have rough runs!!
I totally you saw you before the race! You were wearing all black and your hubby was in Yellow. Like 3 times and kept trying to get your attention but you must've been in the zone!
Now you start slower for scotia:)
You Rock:)
PS
I'm gonna be at the Womans 5k Saturday. Volunteering again though.
We actually need to meet up then:)
At least hydration is an issue that you can easily ammend for the next time. Congrats to Joy!
Hey, it was great waving at you for the few seconds we saw each other! Next time, maybe we will be able to say a few more words!
Learning from those race mistakes is what racing is all about. The good thing is that you signed up for another one and can keep improving.
Thanks for hosthing the giveaway. Congrats to Joy.
Oh, see! That's something that's totally easy to remedy next time around . . . you're all good, girl! This is why I think it's SO important to run "practice" races leading up to the big one. You're very smart to do so ;)
Thanks for hosting the giveaway! Congrats, Joy!
Funny I overhydrated for my Marathon and you underhydrated...Oh Rookie mistakes will we learn??
I KNOW You will ROCK in the Marathon I can feel it..
Dehydration? I wonder if the evening start time had anything to do with that. I would be all confused for my hydration/nutrition strategy if I had to run at night...
i'm glad you are feeling better physically and mentally :) it wasn't your goal race, it's allowed to be 'bagged'! hope you've rested up and are into another strong week of training.
congrats to joy!
