What I Ate Wednesday

In the spirit of getting back on track, I thought this would be a good time to share another daily eats post. I happened to stumble upon "What I Ate Wednesday" hosted by Peas and Crayons and decided it would be fun to get in on the party!

Yesterday's eats....

oatmeal for brekkie - this is the instant variety; sometimes convenience wins

AM snack

big honkin' lunch salad of spring mix, cukes, carrots, tomatoes, roasted chickpeas, olives, hard boiled eggs with vinaigrette

crunchy green apple for another snack

4pm habit...
the rules of WIAW state "no guilt" so no guilt. ;)

dark chocolate peanut butter roll-up pre-workout

roasted veggies with quinoa and baked salsa chicken for dinner

Mmmmmmmm! What are you eating?

After looking at your menue of the day, I'm certainly not telling you what I ate yesterday! Way to go, I think it's terrific that you eat so well....awesome. No I'm kidding I didn't do too bad (after all I have a daughter to feed), my meals were all pretty healthy except for the extra large Cadbury Caramilk chocolate bar I ate after she was in bed!

Looks good to me! I still have too many Halloween party leftovers here (hello cheesecake and pumpkin pie).
A BHS (big honkin' salad) is the best!

Will you come over and organize my meals for me? I find I graze way toooo much, a bad habit I recently picked up.

Yumm..except for the quinoa. For some reason I just don't like it. Now Milett...that is the bomb. I may have to buy stock in chickpeas for the amount I have been eating of late...I haven't even roasted them yet.

Where is the Molson? I don't see any meat and potatoes....... That little piece of chicken would be an appetizer!

Those roasted veggies look amazing. You are so healthy with your choices. I like this "what I ate" idea for a post. but if I posted mine people might be horrified. coffee, candy, the occasional apple.

Do you seriously wear a cupcake headband to work? Love it!!

I wish I liked the texture of oatmeal. It looks so good but makes me want to gag!

Hi Marlene! I've been reading your blog for forever now, but always read on my blackberry at work in reader and can't comment. I only recently went back and checked out your first post because I was curious where you started. I was amazed at how far you've come. You're truly an inspiration. I've been running about 2 years and have ran 2 half marathons so far. I hope to run my first full in 2012! I just wanted to take a minute to say I love your blog and hope to someday achieve half of what you have!

Love this idea but I feel kind of bad seeing how healthy everyone else eats! Ha ha. My day wasn't so bad, but not nearly as healthy and veggie and colorful as yours!

Dark chocolate peanut butter? What genius/evil diet destroyer thought up that irresistible combination?

Your meals and snacks look so healty and delicious. I'm on a VLCD-diet at the moment (need to loose 10 kg before marathon training starts in December), so, I won't be eating much for another week...

What I'm eating depends on what you're going to make next Wednesday because I'm coming over to have my meals at your place! Looks delicious.

I bought quinoa last week, I have never had this before and look forward to trying it.

Lots of fruits and veggies :) check! And hey, no shame in instant oatmeal. It happens.

Food is not what I need to clean up. The adult beverages are becoming very enjoyable. Need to trim that down some. ;)

Love your menu. YUM!

Well, I'm certainly not eating as healthy as you are! I am so impressed with the variety of foods you eat and how healthy everything is. I'm tempted to join the Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge to get my eating back on track.
