As I already mentioned, today I participated in RunningLaur's virtual race, the Hooray Spring 6 Miler KM. As I mentioned in my post earlier today, I dropped down to the 6K due to some persistent muscle soreness from my fitness class on Tuesday and knowing that I'll be doing my long run tomorrow.

I set out at lunch to enjoy the sun and log my kilometres. I love sneaking out of the office at lunch for a run, but the only problem is... we don't have showers. So I get back, all sweaty with a red face and matted hair, peel off the running clothes and have to put my work clothes back on. It's not pleasant, nor is sitting at my desk for the rest of the day. But sometimes I just gotta do what I gotta do. And hey, it usually means my co-workers keep their distance.

Anyway, the run went well. I held my pace steady (within 5 seconds/KM) the entire time and finished off 6K in 32:49.

Special thanks to RunningLaur for organizing this virtual event. Can't wait to see how everyone else did!

Good for you especially after being off for so long.

We don't have showers at work either, otherwise I'd bike to work and run at lunch, that would safe a lot of time in the training schedule!

Way to get the run in. We don't have a shower at work either . . . but it's just so good to get out in the middle of the day. Gotta have priorities!

Great job!

Some days, I like having no one want to come near me :)

Also, I've used baby wipes in the past to freshen up as much as I can if I don't have time for a shower.

Awesome job speedy speedster!! I had to alter my 6 miler too, due to this stupid cold, I think I'll use the first 6 miles of the marathon tomorrow.

Great run - too bad about no showers at work though. Maybe you can suggest that to someone! At least it keeps your co-workers away!

Nice job getting the run in. During the summer when I went to spin during lunch I didn't have time shower and had to sit the rest of the day all sticky and gross. Oh well.

Woah you are back my friend! In a really speedy way =) AWesome job!

I know it'S 2 weeks later but I just got around telling you how to add the playlist to your blog. You have to create it first at playlist.com and then you choose share this playlist. Generate a code and the copy the "E. Get the code for any other social network, blog or your own personal website >>"

Once you're in blogger you go to Customize and add a gadjet and choose HTML/Java script and just copy the code from playlist! Super easy =)

Nice job! I would love to be able to run at lunch but it doesn't really work with my job. Lol at the coworkers keeping their distance.

You did great! And what better way to celebrate spring. I used to run at lunch most days too, although I did have a shower but still didn't have time to redo the hair, so I always said I had my morning look and my afternoon look. I wore a lot of ponytails back then.
