Yesterday I had a great hour-long "gentle flushing massage" at physio and walked out of there feeling like I was walking on clouds. It turns out Dr. Pain has a softer side... but don't tell him I told you that! I also got some great last minute advice and support; not necessarily anything I haven't already heard, but it helps to be reminded. Over and over again.
Trust your training. Don't try anything new. Believe in yourself. Start smart. Follow the plan. You've got this!
As a Birthday gift to myself, I'm taking the rest of the week (+ Monday) off. Work has been crazy lately and the downtime will be thoroughly enjoyed.
Not too much going on in the way of Birthday plans (the real celebrations will commence on Sunday afternoon!). I'll be running an easy 5 miles with the group tonight then grabbing dinner with hubs. No vino or cake, but I will be sure to make up for that soon.
