Three Things Thursday

1. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your comments on yesterday's post. I am touched that so many of you have reached out to share your own experiences and re-assured me that is okay to feel like this, but that it will pass. I know that one day I will be able to look back on this and help someone else in the way you have helped me.

2. Tonight is clinic and I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's stories from last weekend. We ran the gamut from illness to debilitating leg cramps to PR's and a BQ. The best part is that we had more cheerleaders out on the course than runners. I'm so fortunate to be part of this group and can't wait to share some war stories tonight. I will also be running for the first time since the race. My legs have been feeling pretty good for a couple days now, but laziness has reigned. I'm starting to feel like a sloth, so it's definitely time to brush myself off and get back out there.

3. This Sunday we will be in Niagara Falls for the International Marathon where hubs is running the 10K. I ran the half last year. This year I'm looking forward to coming along for the ride and not racing (especially given the windy and rainy forecast). I'm also hoping to meet blogger Anne who will be in town for the race.  Anyone else?

Happy Thursday (almost Friday)!

The clinic tonight will really help you, too, as you listen to everyone's stories. Good luck to the hubs on his 10K - FUN!!!

You sound better! My husband is still a little down but he's made the new plans so I think he's on his way. It will be good to talk with others about their races, it's kind of nice to talk things through, especially if it was a struggle. Have fun and enjoy the race this weekend with your husband!

I read through all the comments you got on yesterdays post and they are a good reminder to everyone- we all go through this. The ups and the downs. I think the best part about blogging is how supportive it can be when faced with something that others who don't run, just cant process.

It is so nice to have the support and encouragement from all the fellow bloggies who share in the fun? insanity? torture? What's the right word? ;-)

Your running group always sounds so wonderful. And I am solo running 99.9% of the time. booo

Enjoy being a cheerleader. Wish your hubbs steady legs for me!

Three Things Comment: (started by me)
1. You're welcome. However I don't know why the bottom of one's heart is better than the top. The top works just as hard to get the blood pumping, if not harder. To me, old blood gets stuck in the bottom, so you're thanking us with old dirty blood that isn't circulated. Thanks! ;)
2. Have fun and have a good run! (I know, not as good as #1.)
3. OMG? A weekend you're not racing?!? Is this possible?

Hi, i didn't comment on your post from yesterday because i just wasn't sure what to say. Whether you hit your goal or are 20 minutes off, you're still working towards that ultimate goal. The more racing experience you get the better you become so every single second of Sunday was valuable and will help you in the future. Its one more marathon in the books that will bring you closer to your new PR.

Have a lovely time spectating. Sometimes that's just what we need to remind us why we run.
